NEET 2026 Re-Exam Petition

NEET Re-Exam Petition & Demands

Lakhs of students must re-sit NEET UG 2026 for a paper leak they had no part in. This petition puts forward four practical demands — on travel, mental health, exam-centre security, and the safety of the question paper itself.

  • Free city-bus travel on exam days
  • Free 1-to-1 mental-health sessions
  • Biometric monitoring at exam centres
  • Papers secured as national security

About This Petition

What This Petition Is

This is a formal, peaceful citizens' petition addressed to the authorities responsible for the conduct of NEET UG 2026. It calls for a clear, defined set of relief measures for every student required to appear in the re-examination ordered after the question-paper leak.

A petition is a collective, documented request. Every signature on this page is a verified citizen formally adding their name to that request. When the petition closes, the complete list of signatures is compiled and submitted — together with these demands — to the National Testing Agency, the Ministry of Education, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Education, and the Supreme Court of India.

The petition is deliberately narrow in scope. It does not seek to assign blame, name individuals, or call for any resignation. It concerns itself only with the students — the people who did nothing wrong, yet must now carry the consequences of a leak they had no part in. Its four demands are specific, reasonable, and well within the power of the State to grant without delay.

It is open to every citizen. You do not have to be a NEET aspirant to sign. Whether you are an affected student, a parent, a teacher, or simply someone who believes the innocent should not pay for the failures of the system, your signature adds measurable, documented weight to a demand that is otherwise easy for the authorities to overlook.

What We Demand

This Petition Asks For

Free City-Bus Travel on Every Exam Day

On every examination day, all students appearing for the exam must be allowed completely free travel on city buses across the entire city — so that no student is delayed, stranded, or held back by the simple cost of reaching the centre.

A Government Portal for Free Mental-Health Support

The government must launch a dedicated online portal where any student can book free, one-to-one sessions with qualified mental-health experts — making real counselling a right available to every aspirant, not a privilege for a few.

Biometric Monitoring at Every Exam Centre

Every state examination centre must be equipped with biometric verification and real-time digital tracking, so that impersonation and cheating become practically impossible and the honest student is protected.

Treat Question Papers as National Security

Examination question papers must be handled with the same protocols as classified national-security material — secured custody, restricted access, and full accountability at every stage — so that a leak becomes virtually impossible.

Our Position

What This Petition Does NOT Ask For

Across social media, many are calling for the resignation of the examination body's chairman. That demand belongs to those who wish to pursue it. Lucky Cockroach is a non-political movement, and we will not reduce a genuine student crisis to a contest over one official's job. This petition does not attack the Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan — instead, it respectfully appeals to him and his Ministry to act swiftly for the affected students. This petition has a single, focused purpose: to ensure the State takes responsibility for the students its failure has already harmed. Questions of blame can be debated elsewhere — relief for these students cannot wait.

The Background

Why This Petition Exists

When an examination paper is leaked, public attention turns to investigations, committees and political blame. The students themselves quietly disappear from the conversation — yet they bear the heaviest cost. They lose months of preparation, spend money their families can scarcely afford on repeated travel and accommodation, and re-enter the examination hall already exhausted by anxiety. A re-examination is offered in the name of fairness, but fairness that drains the innocent is incomplete. This petition exists to place those students back at the centre of the response, and to ask that the system which failed them now stands by them.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is this petition not demanding the chairman's resignation?

Because resignations don't get a single student home safely or counsel a single anxious mind. Others can pursue accountability through their channels. Lucky Cockroach is a non-political groundwork movement — our petition stays focused on concrete relief for the students who are suffering right now.

Who can sign this petition?

Anyone who stands with the students — re-exam candidates, their families, other students, teachers, and ordinary citizens. You do not have to be a NEET aspirant to sign.
